About The Venue
Located underneath Bradford's historical landmark Wool Exchange building, this cellar alehouse is a regular meeting place comprising people from all walks of life.
Known in years gone by as Spinks' restaurant, this pub has been around for many years. In Bradford's wool trading days, it was a central place for people to meet and network. Due to its central location, to this day, the Exchange makes the ideal meeting place.
The pub has always enjoyed a mixed crowd and has naturally grown more rock and alternative orientated over the last 20 years or so. Since the late 90s, The Exchange has played host to many local bands and DJs (as well as some from further afield) and has been a veritable hotbed of local culture. Many alternative pubs and venues have been and gone in the time that this place has been around and this is testament to its loyal customer base.
After struggling through the economic climate of the last couple of years, the pub is currently going through something of a resurgence and a brand new roster of exciting DJ and live nights is taking shape with more still to come.
