About The Venue

The Back Swan is a cracking pub on Thornton Road. Often overlooked, it has been there for many years and has over the years been popular with students, bikers and various rockers and alternative types. It is owned by the same family who own The Zuu Bar and in autumn 2009 both venues were handed over to the ex-Mannville Arms team to manage.

The Black Swan is a freehouse and therefore has a wide selection of drinks including real ales and was interestingly the birthplace of CAMRA in West Yorkshire. It also has a fantastic and varied jukebox as well as top DJ and Karaoke nights.

There are many exciting things in the pipeline for The Black Swan and Sean and Hayley Dunn would like to extend a warm welcome to one and all.
